“Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy . . . Though the fig tree does not blossom . . . yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” Habakkuk 3:2,17,18
COVID-19 saw me spend 21 days in a government mandated facility for forced quarantine. While I did not test positive for the virus in the 2 times they did their tests, my heart was weary and many times I had to speak God’s Word back to him and ask him to remember mercy.
Through this situation, and not knowing when I was getting out and when I would be be with my family again, the Lord opened a door for me to serve families on the streets of our capital city, Nairobi. Work started before I got out and when I got out, my team and I worked the streets and saw Christ do what only he can do. There was salvation, these precious people had something to eat, some left the streets and went into rehabilitation, families were restored and discipleship was firmly established.
